Successful and sustainable farming

A positive force within a responsible industry

At our core, we are a purpose-driven company. We recognize the importance of fostering a responsible industry that:

  • Operates in harmony with the environment
  • Respects the well-being of people
  • Drives prosperity

Our dedication to these commitments fuels our mission to build a resilient food system that prioritizes sustainability, social responsibility, and economic growth. Using the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we focus on specific areas where CropX can make an impact.

Increase Farm Profitability

E-WEB-Goal-01

Save time and money!

CropX helps farms save time and money which leads to higher productivity and profitability. From reducing inputs to saving on fuel and labor, farms can increase efficiency and improve results with precision operations.

Why it matters

Every farm faces different challenges, but they all operate in a high-risk environment with weather uncertainties, disease threats, lack of available workers, and more. Farmers put a large upfront investment into a crop hoping for a good yield at the end of the season.

Improve Crop Yields

E-WEB-Goal-02

10-15% yield increase!

Commercial trials have routinely shown a 10-15% yield increase, and often while reducing inputs. This is because irrigating and applying crop protection chemicals at precisely the right time and ensuring fertilizer availability makes a huge difference in crop performance.

Why it matters

Land use for human food production accounts for about 8% of all food production GHG emissions. By maximizing yield per acre, we can reduce the need for expanding agricultural lands while still providing adequate food supplies.

Reduce Fresh Water Use

E-WEB-Goal-06

25-50% fresh water savings!

Farms often err on the side of caution when it comes to irrigation, but with CropX they don’t have to take chances. CropX measures available soil water and daily plant water use, combined with weather forecasts to provide precise irrigation timing and amount recommendations.

Why it matters

Fresh water is a limited resource and 70% of the current use goes towards agriculture. This is a huge opportunity and many regulations are already being put into place to limit use on farms. Plus, the amount of irrigated land is expected to grow as weather becomes more unpredictable.

Reduce Resource Use

E-WEB-Goal-12

10 – 25% crop protection and fertilizer use reduction!

While we might be known as irrigation experts, we’ve also helped farms reduce their chemical use by up to 25% and fertilizer use by 10-20%. Not only that but our customers save on fuel and reduce GHG emissions by eliminating applications.

Why it matters

Crop protection chemicals and fertilizer are the two most expensive and environmentally impactful inputs for farmers. Reducing these two items while maintaining yields not only improves profit margins for farms, but reduces the chances of runoff or leaching.

Increase Supply Chain Transparency

E-WEB-Goal-12

Food supply chain resilience is increased!

We also provide remote monitoring and validation services for several customers which helps them offer sustainability incentives to their farm suppliers and control against overproduction.

Why it matters

Many food companies and other farm product processors have pledge to help their farmers grow more successfully and sustainably. CropX has a solution that is able to bridge an information, support, and transparency gap in the supply chain.

Ensure Digital Solution Accessibility

E-WEB-Goal-13

Deployed in 70+ countries!

We currently have users in more than 70 countries, and today our users save enough water to supply a mid-sized US city for a year!

We’re growing fast and continuously signing on new partners to help us reach more farms even faster.

Why it matters

We’re running out of time to prevent severe climate change and there are over 500 million farms in the world. That is a lot of potential for making a positive impact.

Improve Biodiversity and Land Use

E-WEB-Goal-15

Easing the switch to regenerative ag

CropX makes it easier for farmers to switch to regenerative ag practices and measure results.

By increasing yield per acre we also reduce the amount of land needed for farming, and our remote tracking is helping farmers receive incentives for practices that increase biodiversity.

Why it matters

Land use change presents the greatest threat to biodiversity and with a growing population there will be an increased demand on this limited resource.
