As a new generation takes a greater role in the business, Jaime sees an opportunity to build on years of farming experience with new technology. His goal is practical: understand what is happening in the field and use that information to improve everyday decisions.

Jaime explains that CropX helps him understand how water is being used on his farm. By monitoring rainfall and soil moisture, he can better assess whether the crop is receiving enough water or whether irrigation could be reduced.

These insights give his team a clearer basis for deciding when and how much to irrigate.

Irrigation decisions at Agroveyca draw on the experience of the family members managing the farm. Before using CropX, Jaime felt he lacked the data to discuss whether they should irrigate more or less.

With field measurements available, those conversations have become more informed. Jaime describes how the data helped him demonstrate that additional irrigation was not always necessary.

For Jaime, using water more efficiently also makes business sense. His experience shows how field data can help growers question established routines and identify opportunities to use fewer resources.
